I have been listening consistently again to recordings and podcasts on abundance. Today, I listened to an episode of “The School of Greatness,” where Lewis Howes interviewed Rhonda Byrnes. In their conversation, he asked her why people struggle with belief in what can be –their dream life–and she said, “[they are] milking memories.”
That reframed — big time — for me, what I have made of my past. She encouraged focusing on the positive memories we had, the things that made us feel good.
How much of our lives are literally spent — do we use away — the precious breath we have been given and all of the abundance surrounding us, by looking at “what went wrong,” or how we were mistreated? When what serves us best is to reinforce new beliefs, new attitudes.
From this day forward, I commit to myself awareness. Allowing myself to feel good.
I am joy. I am wealth. I am all I desire.
The greatest New Thought teachers all impart the importance of affirmation.
One of the most inspiring teachers I had, just in the last few years, gave us “homework” to do so. I had made some big changes, one of which was going back to school after decades. I wrote dozens of affirmations and placed them all around; on my dresser, mirrors, carried on post-it notes in my wallet. Within less than a year, I moved states on my own for the first time in my life. No job, nor seeing in-person where I would live…only a dream that I’d carried with me my whole adult life.
Let us decide today that we are worth everything we want. Let no man come between you and what is possible.
